At 30g, the Cyclami TPU Road Inner Tube is about as close to riding tubeless as you can get while still running tubes. Compared to a standard butyl tube sitting around 90-100g, you're dropping 60+ grams per wheel. That's real, measurable weight savings without a tyre change, without sealant, and without the setup headache.

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) runs at higher pressure with lower rolling resistance than butyl. The material is more supple, which means it conforms better to the road surface and holds pressure longer between rides. Each tube comes with two non-alcoholic cleaning wipes and a patch kit in the box, so you're covered for a roadside repair.

Why TPU Over Butyl

Standard butyl tubes do the job, but TPU is a meaningful upgrade for riders who care about rolling efficiency. The weight reduction is the obvious one, but the bigger gains are in how TPU behaves under pressure: lower permeation rate (holds pressure better overnight), higher maximum pressure rating, and a more compliant feel at the contact patch. If you've been sitting on the fence about tubeless, a set of TPU tubes is a low-risk way to get most of the weight and rolling benefits without committing to the full conversion.

Repair Kit Included

TPU tubes aren't repaired the same way as butyl. Standard vulcanising patches won't bond to TPU. Cyclami includes two purpose-made TPU patches and cleaning wipes in every box. If you get a flat, clean the area with the included wipe, let it dry, and apply the patch. No glue required.

For longer rides, carry a spare tube rather than relying on a patch. The 30g weight means a spare adds almost nothing to your kit.

Valve length note: This listing is the 65mm Presta valve. If your rims have deep valve holes (40mm+), the 65mm valve gives you enough thread to seat a pump head without an extender.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unworn items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). All returns should have all tags and packaging attached and intact.

You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
